Tips For Making Perfect recipe for Veggie Pilaf !!
The key to making good veg pulao lies in cooking your rice properly. Follow these simple steps to achieve a perfect pilaf each time! All you need are 2 main ingredients: Basmati Rice (1 kg) & Mixed Veggies like carrots, peas, beans, green peas etc. (500 gm). The method is quite simple. First wash and soak both rice & veggies in water for 20-30 minutes. This makes them tender & easy to cook later on.
Ingredients for recipe pulao :-
- Rice/Chawal – 1 glass (250gm )
- paneer cubes
- Water/Pani – 1.5 glass Oil/Tel -3 tbsp
- Bay leaf/Tejpatta – 1
- Cinnamon/Dalchini – 1
- Green Cardamom/Hari
- Elaichi – 2
- Cloves/Laung – 2
- Cumin Seeds/Jeera – 1 tsp
- Ginger Garlic Paste/Adrak Lehsun ka paste – 1 tbsp
- Onion/Pyaaz – 2 medium (sliced)
- Green Chilli/Hari Mirch – 2 (slit)
- Potato/Aloo – 2 (diced)
- Green Peas/Hare Matar – 1 cup
- Tomato/Tamatar- 3 medium (roughly chopped)
- Salt/Namak – 1.75 tsp
- Turmeric Powder/Haldi – 1/2 tsp
- Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder/Kashmiri Lal mirch – 1. tsp
- Fennel Seeds/Saunf – 1 tsp
- garam Masala – 1 tsp Coriander Leaves /Dhania Patte – 2 tbsp
- Mint Leaves/Mint leaves- 2 tbsp
Recipe of pulao step guide :-
- Wash the rice Drain the water and keep it aside for around 15 minutes. And after 15 minutes drain out the whole water and let them sit for 5 min.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add the cumin seeds and the whole spices(Bay leaves/tezz Patta, dal Chinni Patta /cinnamon, laungh/cloves,hari elaichi /cardamom,anise). Saute for a few minutes.
- Add the ginger, garlic green chilly paste along with onions and saute till the onions are slightly brown in colour.
- Add the vegetables and mix
- Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, pulao masala and salt.
- now cover the cooker and wait for 2 whistles after that add rice.
- and in that do one thing also take a pan and fry the paneer cubes.
- Now add the soaked rice and mix everything combines beautifully.
- Add enough water to cook the rice. Pressure cook till the rice is cooked well and grains should be separate (not mushy) and add fry paneer cubes now
- Gently mix and serve. with onion and curd and enjoy your pulao !!
TIP:- if do u use 2 cups of rice then always remember to use 1 and half water for that due to this it’s not become a Massey one !!
